According to reports, the Pakistan Super League’s 11th edition is expected to be conducted with a revised competition structure.

Reports indicate that the 11th season of the Pakistan Super League will introduce a fresh competition format, with the tournament expanding to eight teams and being conducted in two distinct stages.

PSL 11 is expected to run from March 26 to May 3, 2026, featuring a total of 44 matches spread over 39 days.

The updated structure replaces the traditional league system, allowing the league to include more teams without noticeably increasing the overall length of the event.

In the first stage, all eight teams will compete in a single round, where each side plays the others once. This phase is designed to ensure equal opportunities for every team before moving forward.

The tournament will then enter a second stage based on a Super Four-style format, dividing the eight teams into two groups of four.

During this round, each team will play three matches, producing 12 games in total and helping finalize the rankings ahead of the knockout rounds.

The top two teams from this phase will qualify for the playoffs. As in past seasons, four playoff matches — including the final — will decide the PSL 11 title.

Despite the changes and the addition of more teams, every franchise will still play at least 10 matches, keeping the number of games per team consistent with previous editions.

Matches are planned to be hosted in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan, while Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium is expected to host PSL games for the first time.

PSL 11 کا شیڈول 26 مارچ سے 3 مئی 2026 تک متوقع ہے، جس دوران 39 دنوں میں مجموعی طور پر 44 میچز کھیلے جائیں گے۔

نئے ڈھانچے میں روایتی لیگ سسٹم کو تبدیل کر دیا گیا ہے تاکہ ٹیموں کی تعداد بڑھانے کے باوجود ٹورنامنٹ کی مدت زیادہ طویل نہ ہو۔

پہلے مرحلے میں تمام آٹھ ٹیمیں ایک دوسرے کے خلاف ایک ایک میچ کھیلیں گی، جس سے ہر ٹیم کو یکساں مواقع میسر آئیں گے۔

دوسرے مرحلے میں سپر فور طرز کا نظام اپنایا جائے گا، جس کے تحت آٹھ ٹیموں کو چار، چار کے دو گروپس میں تقسیم کیا جائے گا۔

اس مرحلے میں ہر ٹیم تین میچز کھیلے گی، یوں مجموعی طور پر 12 مقابلے ہوں گے جو ناک آؤٹ مرحلے سے قبل پوزیشنز کا تعین کریں گے۔

سپر فور مرحلے کی سرفہرست دو ٹیمیں پلے آف میں جگہ بنائیں گی، جبکہ ماضی کی طرح چار پلے آف میچز، بشمول فائنل، کے ذریعے چیمپئن کا فیصلہ کیا جائے گا۔

فارمیٹ میں تبدیلی اور ٹیموں کی تعداد بڑھنے کے باوجود ہر ٹیم کو کم از کم 10 میچز کھیلنے کی ضمانت دی جائے گی، جو پچھلے سیزنز کے برابر ہے۔

میچز کراچی، لاہور، راولپنڈی اور ملتان میں کھیلے جائیں گے، جبکہ فیصل آباد کا اقبال اسٹیڈیم پہلی بار PSL کی میزبانی کرنے کے لیے تیار ہے۔
